Remembering Bishop Vest |
 The Rt. Rev. Frank Harris Vest, Jr., eighth bishop of Southern Virginia, died on April 5 in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was 72.
Vest was bishop coadjutor of Southern Virginia from 1989 to 1991, and bishop diocesan until 1998. In retirement he served as interim rector of St. Barnabas and Trinity Episcopal churches, interim chaplain at Virginia Episcopal School, and interim rector at St. John' s Church, all in Lynchburg.
The funeral for the Rt. Rev. Frank H. Vest, Jr. was held at St. John’s on Thursday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. Click the below links to hear the homilies from the funeral or visit our Sermons page to hear them through Itunes as a podcast.
