Candidates for Bishop Announced!

The Standing Committee announced four candidates for our next Bishop. Please take the time to visit the Diocesan website and watch their introductory videos, read about them, and read our Diocesan Profile that led these candidates to discern with us.

We hope you will participate in the Bishop Meet and Greets, particularly on January 7th, 6:00pm, at Westminster Canterbury. Thank you WC for hosting one of the three events! They will be made available via live stream and recording as well.

Learning More about the Process

Fr. Ben will lead two adult forums about our Bishop search and the role of the Bishop. On December 14th, he will look at the ancient and modern role of Bishops in general. On December 21, we will look at our diocesan profile, our candidates, and the modern process in the Episcopal Church for selecting and ordaining Bishops. Both are at 9:30a in Magill.

Note: Father Ben is the chair of the Transition Committee for the Diocese, and as such, he cannot endorse or recommend a candidate. While you are welcome to discuss the candidates and your opinions and preferences, our discussion will focus more on understanding the needs and concerns of our church & our diocese in this season, while also sharing information with you about the candidates and the election process.
