Worship at St. John's
Please join us for worship at our Sunday morning services, or our Weekday services.

10:30 am, Holy Eucharist, Rite II
Adult and children's choirs provide musical leadership for the 10:30 a.m. service. Children ages 3-6 begin worship with their families in church. They gather at the baptismal font during the Sequence Hymn and follow an acolyte to the chapel for a story and music in the chapel. They return at the peace. Parents whose children are in the nursery for the early part of the service often leave after at the peace and bring their children into church for The Great Thanksgiving. Children are always welcome in church for the entire service.
St. John’s celebrated music program is a large part of our worship services.

The Young Child in the Pew
Adults sometimes wonder whether to bring small children into the church. Having them there is rather like having them eat at the supper table even though their manners are not elegant. They wiggle, poke and swing their legs simply because they are children; they also sing, pray and are spiritually fed with us. Remember that baptized children are members of the Body of Christ--the Church--and children should be among the worshipping people. They participate in their own way, but the most important thing is that they participate and learn. All ages of people are invited to be part of the process of coming before our Lord.
Our children learn:
• that they are always welcome here.
• that the sights, sounds and feelings of the church are good.
• that this is a place to honor God and receive God's love.
• that music and stories connect us to God.
